I opened the gallery nine years ago. I paint for the joy of it and feel honored when the work finds favor with another person. Philosophically, I believe there are no new images, designs, or colors. They all exist in the universe. We humans "play" with images, designs, and colors.
I am an oil painter. Sometimes I want a brush for paint application, sometimes a palette knife. Sometimes I want to paint with precise detail; other times with vaguenes. Reflections of light and emotion are important themes.
I studied color and design with Ethel Beitler,an abstract artist and book author; beginning oil painting with Larry Prellop; and technical oil painting with Dalhart Windberg. I was born with an intense curiosity about the world around me and sensitivity to color.
