Nelson Shanks - Over the course of his career, Nelson Shanks has established himself as a world-renowned painter, teacher and art historian. He has passed on his artistic insight and talents by teaching in top art institutions across the United States, such as the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Academy of Design, the Art Students League and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. In 2002, Nelson founded Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; an academy dedicated to the study, practice and spread of realist art using the philosophy and techniques espoused by Mr. Shanks.
Notable commissions include H.R.H., Diana Princess of Wales, His Holiness, John Paul II, President Ronald Reagan, President William Jefferson Clinton and Luciano Pavarotti.
