Shari Beaubien -When Shari was just a little girl and thumb-sucking was en vogue, she insisted
that hers was grape. She’s been happily inventing the flavors of her world ever
Shari’s soulful artwork lies firmly rooted in the fanciful world of her imagination.
Each piece begins with her signature surface texture. From there, Shari builds
countless layers of translucent paint - sometimes up to 30 or more - to achieve
rich, saturated colors and stunning depth. The images she depicts arrive straight
from her heart and it is through this unique voice that Shari’s work comes to life.
As a self-taught artist, Shari celebrates the fact that her enchanting style is
uniquely her own. No one ever told her that she had to paint a certain way and
so the way she paints is “her” way. The result is a sublime yet provocative world
filled with whimsical elephants, magical swans, and her delightfully charming

make,” Shari reveals. “Each brushstroke carries with it a bit of my journey on this
planet. Sometimes wet and messy and other times more restrained, the rhythm
of my process is like a dance all my own.”
Shari’s award-winning artwork has been featured in galleries, juried competitions
and art fairs across the country. In addition, this prolific artist has been
interviewed extensively and published in a wide range of books and magazines.
She is represented by several galleries in the Southwest and her paintings have
found homes with collectors both here and abroad.
Shari makes her home in sunny Santa Clarita, California, where her studio is also
located. She shares her life with her husband Steve and their dog Bentley and
